In this classic Chinese Tale, “Peach Blossom Spring”, a fisherman stumbles upon a hidden utopian village deep in the mountains. The villagers in this secluded paradise are untouched by the outside world's corruption, wars, and social pressures, and lead simple and harmonious lives. But when the fisherman came back to real life to talk to others about the village again, he could no longer find his way back.

In this work, I am using this story to convey the themes of isolation, the search for an ideal society, and the idea that simplicity and harmony are lost in the complexities of the world. This space stores the conversations between me and my grandfather, and the old artifacts we imagined together to look like when they were brought back to life. Viewers are invited to read through the corresponding postcards, to wear the physical accessories as a way of feeling the para-world created by this piece.
